OnePlus has chosen a rather fun date to announce its new mid-range model, the OnePlus Nord CE 4. According to the company’s press release, the device will feature an octa-core Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. Let’s also take a look at the other details.
The unveiling date of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 has been set for April 1st
The OnePlus Nord CE 4 will replace the company’s affordable mid-range devices, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G and Nord CE 2. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 will provide a performance advantage to the Nord CE 4 compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 782G SoC.
The processor was first announced in November. It includes a main core running at 2.63 GHz, three performance cores running at 2.4 GHz, and four efficiency cores running at 1.8 GHz. We’ve previously seen vivo release the V30 with the same processor.
OnePlus claims that compared to the Nord CE 3, the Nord CE 4 will bring a 15% increase in CPU performance, a 50% increase in GPU performance, and a 20% increase in power efficiency. Additionally, OnePlus has confirmed that the CE 4 will be offered in Dark Chrome and Celadon Marble color options.
Previous leaks suggested that the OnePlus Nord CE 4 could be the same phone as the OPPO K12, expected to be released in China. The leaked information also claimed that the phone would feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, and with OnePlus’ confirmation, the likelihood of the leak being accurate appears higher.
As a result, it is expected that the Nord CE 4 will have 100W fast charging support. Unfortunately, we don’t know much else about the phone’s other features.
In conclusion, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 seems poised to be a device that offers strong mid-range performance. With this new phone, OnePlus is expected to provide more options for users looking for an affordable smartphone.
The performance boost brought by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor could provide users with a smoother experience. If the device is launched in Turkey, it could be popular within its segment. What do you think? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
